Math Workshop

We are working so hard during our math time together, today is perfect proof. We began with a quick fluency warm-up using pictures of 2d shapes. We then discussed and defined the following words: same, different, sort. Then we played "match it" where you really had to know what the words meant. To play students took turns picking a number and a shape and putting it in their boards. When they say "match it" their partner matches the number and shape! After that I was workplace time, which is a time for small group work as well as application of previously taught skills.
