Math Workshop

Math workshop is underway in our kindergarten! Today our mini lesson focused on identifying and sorting 2d shapes and then graphing and analyzing. We then moved to work time where students used a variety of materials to hone in on their geometry skills and knowledge. We even worked in some number sense! At closing circle we shared the "math" that happened during work time.

Hackett's Orchard Trip

We are so lucky to have such a great local resource right down the road. We had a great time visiting the orchard, learning about  the apple harvest, and riding on the tractor. 

First Day Jitters

We read the book "First Day Jitters" by Julie Danneberg on our first day together. Sarah Hartwell has the jitters and has to be brave on her first day. We thought Sarah was a kid, but it turns out she is the teacher. That is right, teachers even get the jitters!
