Morning Message

Fixing It Up

It is a very exciting time in the kindergarten as we near completion of our first writing unit! Today students were hard at work selecting pieces from their folders for "fixing up" to make sure other people can read it. Now the editing begins as we prepare for our publication celebration!

I Have! Who Has?

To play this morning meeting game the cards are passed out and the child with the "start" card goes first. He/she reads the card and the person holding the correct card reads theirs until we have all read our cards. It turned out to be great practice reading, identifying letters, listening and speaking. 

Monday Morning

Fire Safety & Prevention Week

We are underway with a mini-unit on fire safety and prevention. Today we began during morning meeting by drawing and writing about what we know. Each of us recorded on a post it and then added it to a group poster. Tomorrow we a building fire trucks with shapes, reading emergent texts, and visiting the South Hero Volunteer Fire Department.

Recess

We could not resist taking some time out of our busy day to enjoy the beautiful Fall day.
