Thanksgiving Book Bin

We explored a new book bin in our classroom library. There are a variety of fiction and non-fiction books about Thanksgiving to choose from but I think our favorite is "A Plump and Perky Turkey."

Community Service

On Friday we went to the SHVFD to help decorate the station for their annual tree lighting ceremony. The kids did a great job and felt good about giving back to our community.

Guidance

Our guidance teacher Ms. Fisher has been teaching us about regulating our energy levels. We use the question "how is your engine running?" To gauge our levels. Too fast is when you have way too much energy, just right is when you have just the right amount of energy for the activity you are doing, and too slow is when you just don't have enough. Today we completed 4 different activities and compared our energy levels  after each activity. They were playing in shaving cream, using kinetic sand, blowing through a straw to move a cotton ball, and yoga. We found some helped to reduce our energy, some brought our energy level up, and some helped us get to "just right"
